St. VALENTINE'S DAY of Japan

It is the space for special events in Hankyu department store that is one of big department stores in Osaka. In addition, it is chocolate selling space for VALENTINE'S DAY.

Can you believe it? Every person is woman, eh? They are buying some valentine gifts for men, especially husband, boyfriend, company, or something like that. In Japan, women give the gifts to men on Valentine's day.

Actually most of Japanese are unchristian, so it means not related to any kind of event of Christian religion.

I think it has been just commercially-prepared event for long times in Japan, but the most important thing about Valentines day is the evidence of "catholic" spirit of Japanese. They accept not only the other cultures but also the other religion. If people all over the world behave like them, we don't need any kind of fights. It will contribute to peaceful life.

Tawaraya

At first, I have never been to Tawaraya(俵屋) that is pretty old accommodation not only in Kyoto but also in Japan and is Japanese style and fancy one. Left side of the picture is the entrance of Tawaraya and it isn't so wide, eh? Small entrance is kind of important policy of Kyoto people; on the other hand, I am really sure that inside of the entrance must be really luxury atmosphere. I have heard many celebrities from all over the world stayed here, then they have given it rave review. I think staying in Tawaraya must be so rich moment. I really wanna stay here in the future.

Historical Building in Korai-bashi

This building is in Korai-bashi(高麗橋), Osaka. It takes just for 5 minutes from Kitahama Station(北浜駅) on foots. This building is "Chez WADA", French restaurant. Unfortunately I have never been to the restaurant, but I can guess it must be good. Around this place there are a lot of nice historical buildings. This one also looks nice, eh? BUT unfortunately I can't say that it is the best. Do you know why? Don't you think the surrounding electric cables are too messy? I believe surrounding environment is also important factor.
